2021 Goal -- 1500 registrants
2021 Actual -- 1800 registrants
2022 Goal -- 2500 registrants
2021 Goal -- $100,000 for Calumet
2021 Actual -- $115,000 for Calumet
2022 Goal -- $150,000 for Calumet
For 2022, Calumet will be more intentional at making the case that when a congregation participates as a TEAM, the congregation benefits a GREAT deal! For many congregations, things go pretty quiet during the summer months. With a TEAM of Walk the Walk'ers -- a congregation will have a fun program for people of all ages. One person from the congregation will serve as TEAM Captain (collecting miles just four times from TEAM Members ... and reporting the total miles of the TEAM to Calumet.
* 2,500 walkers @ $25 = $62,500
* 250 Angel Donors = $26,000
* 20 Leveraging Donors = $51,500
* 1000 small sponsorship gifts = $10,000
Many, many, many of these small sponsorship gifts came to Calumet in the way of an offering at congregations that had a TEAM of people who were Walk'ing the Walk. We think that congregations will do this again. Additionally, those on one of the many Calumet TEAMs will, we think, come through again by finding just one person they know personally to make a sponsorship gift in support of their Walk for Calumet.
When folks go to the Registration Page (going LIVE on June 1), they will be able to choose their TEAM during the registration process.
Each TEAM will have a Captain. We hope those serving as TEAM Captain in 2021 will volunteer to do it again. Congregations organizing a TEAM for Walk the Walk 2022 will want to identify one person who can serve on Captain. It's not a wicked hard job, by any means. But it's best if the Captain is good at sending, checking, and reading their emails.
TEAM members will be expected to log their miles four times throughout the 62 days of July and August. Mileage from July 1-15 will be submitted to Captains beginning on July 16. Mileage from July 16-31 will be submitted beginning August 1. Mileage trekked between August 1-15 will be shared with the Captain starting on August 16. And miles from August 16-31 will get to the Captain on September 1.
As the summer progresses, Calumet will hear from TEAM Captains who will be able to report their TEAM's mileage through a wicked easy Google Form (thanks to Amy Gillam O'Riley for her awesome leadership with this). Calumet will share the growing mileage total all summer long. The goal: 350,000 miles by jthe end of the day on August 31!
