Today's theme at Calumet -- Jesus Speaks to Us. Pr. Dave Dalzell from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Laconia is this week's Chaplain (and staff alum ... ahem ...)! See a couple minutes from this morning's Rah Rah Ray. The musicians for the day were staff and L&S corps members as it was Judy's day off. They did a GREAT job!! Judy is great at getting all kinds of people involved in the music. "Shout to the North" is a camp favorite!
During any two week period -- half of the kids go home on Saturday after the first session and new campers will arrive on Sunday. The other half of the campers ... the two weekers ... spend Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon having a great time here at camp. It's always good to see how great the veteran campers are as they welcome in the new ones. Calumet's campers are just the best! Here's a little taste of what happens at Calumet on Sunday afternoon. Enjoy!
Sunday Worship at Calumet -- it's so great! The Outdoor Chapel was packed. Good Shpeherd, Laconia's Bell Choir, Pr. Josh Rinas from Zion in Waterbury, fine musicians under the direction of Calumet's own Judy Smith ... hopefully these 9 minutes or so will give you a taste of a Calumet worship experience. Come and join us any Sunday of the year at 10 AM. During the summer, we've got about 500 Lutherans singing and praying with some seriously good pep!
The second annual Drama Camp at Calumet took place last week (Week One), and was a wonderful week!! Check out a few clips from "The Emperor's New Clothes." The campers were excited to participate in the week-long activity and to perform in Luther Hall on Friday night. It's hard to believe that these kids can get this whole thing together in just a few short days! Wow!
Calumet is a place where people can discuss vitally important issues facing the world. One such discussion took place leading up to Snack Bar last night -- "What is the most popular item at Snack Bar this week?" Check out what we found out. And be warned -- it turns out that a lot of sugar is involved!!
