Welcome to Survivor Week at Calumet for Week 4! This week, units will be competing against each other during the wide games this week. For the first wide game, cabins and tents had to complete survivor like challenges around camp to earn tokens to give to their Unit Leader. The unit that collected the most tokens at the end of the game won immunity for the next wide game! (Check our Instagram feed to see who won immunity.) This video shows some of the challenges that the cabins and tent groups completed!
Campers in Units 3 and 4 that are staying for two weeks have the opportunity to go on an overnight trip during the weekend. On Friday afternoon, these campers meet at the Wild Barn on Family Camping to get their gear for their weekend trip. This video shows you a little bit about the process of them packing and getting ready.
Calumet offers a Day Camp Program for children between the ages of 6-12. The Calumet Day Camp program runs week days from 8-5 in July through the beginning of August. This video shows some of our Day Camp campers during lunch (included) talking about what they like best about Day Camp! For more infomation about Calumet's Day Camp program, please visit our website. https://www.calumet.org/summercamp/daycamp
In Field Sports, campers were learning about a new game called Kubb. It's a mystery to be able to explain this game, but very easy to pick it up and just play! Try and see if you understand this Scandanavian lawn game by watching this video.
Take Over Tuesday!!! BC5 and BC6 took over the blog for the day and they were in control of the interviewing! They had some very informative questions that only the Boys Junior End would think of! Listen in as they interview Amy (our Media Specialist), Keith (Unit Two Unit Leader), and more!
