Listen, Learn, Lean

These are challenging times.

a major re-structuring underway of what it is to be the Church ... reimagining of financing of ministry ... pandemic worries that continue to be uncomfortably close ... congregations feeling pressure like never before ... holy closures, consolidations, and mergers of local church communities ... generational differences about institutions/organizations as compared to their parents/grandparents ... non-profits of every type in deep self-reflection ...

Calumet is not immune to any of this.

But Calumet is uniquely positioned to harness existing energy, grow opportunity, steward holy community, and dwell deeply with God as God leads us.

As Calumet tries hard to steer in the direction of success, we can't leave the future to chance. We can't pin everything on hopes alone. We'll continue paying attention to details regarding all kinds of realities which, though are beyond our control, are things we can strive to manage.

Join in conversation with others throughout New England and beyond. What are Calumet's strengths these days and what are the worries people have about camp? Let's listen to each other. Let's learn from each other's experience. Let's lean into what we face with a spirit of hope and discernment.
