Breakfast_GreetingsBefore each meal, cabin and tent groups line up at the Dining Hall.  It's a good chance for the Unit Leader to make sure all the campers are where they're suppose to be as the counselors head inside to set up the tables.  During the few minutes before walking inside for breakfast, one cabin group had the chance to think about what they love most about Calumet.  It's always great to hear the responses!

This_is_no_Mickey_Mouse_OperationCalumet is full of standards and operating procedures and disciplines.  It's the very reason we're able to relax and have a great time helping kids think about God, make new friends, and have tons of fun.  There are all kinds of behind the scenes puzzle pieces that make camp run smooth.  Here's a little something to help you understand how complex a simple little change can be!

One never knows when a simple, passing conversation will turn into the perfect blog post. Thankfully, there is usually some kind of recording equipment in my pocket. Note the bit of surprise (but not really) when the conversation turns into an interview.
