Come! You're Going To Love It!! MUSIC LUTHERHOSTEL
“Sing to the Lord”
March 26-28, 2012 (two nights)
Presenters: Steve Reed and Judy Smith, Church Musicians
“Sing to the Lord” is open to all who love music…you don’t have to be a choir member to attend….just one who loves to sing the good old fashioned hymns & spirituals with a few contemporary hymns too!
On this three day retreat we play our traditional “Name that Tune” hymn game and hear about the backgrounds of the composers and hymnists that wrote these beloved songs of the church. We also will explore some Broadway show tunes that center around our faith. “Beading with Bonnie” is back this year too where you can create beautiful earrings, bracelets and necklaces! This year’s special Tuesday evening theme dinner is “Give My Regards to Broadway” followed by a talent show. Our talent shows typically include poetry readings, story-telling, duets, solos, group skits or songs, and even some juggling! And we need audience members too.
COST: $152 per person

Beading with Bonnie, Hymn Sings and other fun activities are planned for this four day retreat. Get ready for some evening game playing including dominoes, Skip-Bo, and cards!
Deborah Kinghorn, Chair of Theater and Dance at UNHOn Tuesday evening, Deborah Kinghorn, chair of the Theater & Dance Department at UNH, will offer a special presentation entitled "When You Walk Do You Feel Like Dancing?" How does a body, which feels creaky and stiff with age and rheumatism, suddenly find the springing step of youth? The answer, it turns out, can be found in the body’s natural energy sources. Come enjoy this special evening program!
