Ididarod Sled Race

IdidarodFEBRUARY 24th - 26th, 2012

You ever wonder what it's like to race a dogsled across the frozen tundra?  Well here's your chance to find out...sort of.

Come to Calumet for the weekend and take part in our version of the popular Alaskan sled race, but leave the dogs at home because these sleds are powered by people!!

That's right...work with your youth group to build a sled that you can bring to camp to compete in Calumet’s challenging Ididarod Sled Course.  That's right, not only will you be racing against the clock, but you'll also have to perform certain challenges along the way...anything from making a fire, to completing a Rob World event, to navigating a snowshoe course!  At night you can relax and re-live the day’s events around an evening campfire.  Naturally, there are a whole slew of other winter activities to choose from when you’re not mushing your way to victory!

Word on the street is that 2011 Race Champions, Trinity in Chelmsford, is looking forward to the competition in 2012!
