Icon Painting Retreat

Have you ever wanted to paint an icon? Come join us for a remarkable Lenten retreat opportunity!

These ancient images of Christ, Mary, and the saints have come down to us from the earliest Christians.  Icons have been called "windows to heaven."   Led by Pastors Paul Sinnott, Anne Deneen and Nancy Beckwith, by the end of this retreat, you will complete an icon of Christ to take home with you (pictured right - The Head of Christ).

No prior artistic experience is necessary, just a willingness to enter into the process and meditate on Christ in this hands-on retreat.  All materials will be supplied.  Instruction in technique as well as historical and theological background of icons will be provided.

Join in this unique way to enter into the Lenten season. Opportunities for worship, reflection and conversation will be offered.
